4 athletes hurt in Pagadian mishap

FOUR athletes were wounded when the tricycle they were riding figured in an accident the other night
in Pagadian City.

Taken to the hospital for treatment were Cherlane Joy Mendisabal Mabilog, 14, Mikyla Banay
Banay Molas, 15, Alsam Jamdain Sakam, 17, and Arcon Coroz The, 17, all athletes and delegates from
Isabela City.
Reports said the accident occurred at around 8:50 p.m.  along B. Aquino Street corner Broca
St., Bgy. San Jose District, Pagadian City.
Initial investigation showed that the victims were onboard a Kasawaki Barako passenger
tricycle (JX-9554) with cab number 0920 driven by Mario Carreon Gomonit when they were hit by a
Mitsubishi Sedan (LME 420) driven by Brian Molinas Villadares, of Turukan, Zamboanga del Sur.
Because of the strong impact, the four athletes sustained severe injuries and were immediately
taken to the hospital.
