CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- Three men were arrested in Bataan for assaulting and verbally abusing a policeman and traffic marshals the other day.

One of the suspects was identified as Mike Cabuay, 22, of Balanga City, who pushed PO1 Mike Cabusan against the gate of an establishment in Bgy. Pinulot, Dinalupihan town.

PO1 Gabusan, along with another policeman, were responding to a commotion at Esquenita Resto Bar when the assault occurred. It was learned that the policemen were trying to pacify those involved in the commotion.

Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, Police Regional Office 3 director, said a case of direct assault upon a person in authority will be filed against the suspect.

In Abucay town, traffic marshals were directing the flow of vehicles along the highway when two motorcycles with back riders with no helmets passed by.

When asked to pull over, the drivers of the motorcycles, identified as Joshua Salandanan, 22, and Rhon Andrei Baluyot, 19, were found to have other violations like driving without licenses, not carrying OR-CR, no side mirror and with modified loud exhaust pipes.

After given citation tickets for violating traffic rules, the suspects arrogantly resisted and uttered insulting and defamatory remarks against the marshals, forcing the latter to call police assistance.

The two are facing charges for resistance and disobedience upon an agent of person in authority and for verbally abusing the traffic marshals.
