2 shot dead in Abra

ABRA -- Members of the Dolores Municipal Police Station reported on Monday the death of two persons in a shooting incident in Bgy. Kimmalaba, Dolores, this province.

An Abra MPS team led by Senior Insp. Allan Glenn B. Daria responded to the scene and rushed two victims to Abra Provincial Hospital where they were both declared dead on arrival.

Police later identified the victims as Rodel Talledo Pilor, a.k.a. Burdado, 34, married, of Kimma-laba, Dolores, and Roland Lazara, of Cayapa, Lagangilang.

Investigators said that at around 9:15 a.m. Monday, the two victims were riding an unregistered motorcycle along Bgy. Kimmalaba Road towards  Dolores town when they were allegedly ambushed by unidentified suspects.

Members of the Abra Provincial Crime Laboratory Office processed the crime scene and recovered seven 12-gauge 00-BK fired shells, two 5.56mm fired cartridges and a plastic wad (shotgun).

Police are still determining the motive behind the killings and the identities of the suspects.
