CABANATUAN City -- A security guard and a jobless man were nabbed on Saturday during intensified search operations conducted by the police in a bid to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city, police said yesterday.
Nabbed were security guard Ronald Aldrin Gonzales, 26, alias Japong, of 208 Purok 4, Bgy. Imelda, and Ramon Joseph Jr., 53, alias Joseph Espinoza, jobless, of Purok 5, also of the same barangay, both of this city.
City police chief, Supt. Ponciano P. Zafra said the twin operations were implemented by virtue of two separate search warrants for illegal drugs issued against the suspects by vice-executive judge Johnmuel Romano R.D. Mendoza, of the Cabanatuan Regional Trial Court.
During the search on Gonzales’ house, police seized five plastic sachets containing alleged shabu while six plastic sachets with suspected shabu were also recovered from Joseph’s house.
Zafra said members of the Cabanatuan police and the local anti-drug enforcement unit led by Senior Insps. Domingo A. Resma and Jaime P. Ferrer conducted the simultaneous search operations in Bgy. Imelda at 7:30 a.m. which resulted in the suspects’ arrest.
