2 die in clash, another wounded in Laguna, Cavite anti-drug ops.

CAMP Brig. Gen. Vicente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- Two drug suspects were killed while another was wounded during an armed encounter in Laguna and Cavite on Saturday.

In Laguna, drug suspects Ranil Ligpitan, of Bgy. Looc, Calamba City, and alias Nonoy, 30, of Bgy. Santisima Cruz, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, were selling shabu at 11:40 a.m. and 2 a.m., respectively when they sensed they were entrapped in the transactions.

The duo both pulled their hand guns but they were killed after a brief exchange of gunfires.

In Bacoor City, Cavite, a certain Christopher Quilao, of Bgy. San Nicolas 1, was selling five sachets of shabu weighing 25.54 grams at 7:30 a.m. when he noticed the presence of policemen. He reached out for his cal. .357 Magnafort Smith and Wesson revolver but he was hit during a brief encounter. He was taken to St. Dominic Medical Center.

The gun and the drugs were recovered from him.

Meanwhile, in other anti-illegal drug operations, 23 persons were arrested in Cavite. They were Jardie Morabe, of Bgy. Bagbag 1, Rosario town, where 4 sachets of shabu were recovered; Rodolfo Ocampo, also of Bagbag 1 (3 sachets of shabu); Jeremay Tabing, of Bgy. Zapote 1, Bacoor City (3 sachets of shabu); Ronnie Canete ( a sachet of shabu); Handrix Rivera and 4 others, all of Bgy. Pasong Camachille 2, Gen. Trias City (10 sachets of shabu); Ricky Pelina and 5 others from same place (9 sachets of shabu); John Elton Parilla and two others, all of Bgy. F. Reyes, GMA (4 sachets of shabu); Carlito Montefalcon Jr., of Bgy. Salawag, Dasmariñas City (3 sachets of shabu); Raffy Tacubanza, of Bgy. Granados, GMA (3 sachets of shabu), and Rolly Solamo and three others, all of Bgy. Paliparan 3, Dasma (5 sachets of shabu).
