3 Pinoy families affected in Italy tanker explosion

THE Philippine Consulate General in Milan reports that another Filipino family was affected by Monday’s fuel tanker explosion in Bologna.

This brings to three the number of Filipino families whose apartments were damaged by the blast.

The total number of Filipinos reported by the consulate general to have been affected is 10. The number includes two minor children and two infants.

Consul General Irene Susan Natividad said the explosion blew off the doors and windows of the apartment units of the three families and damaged a number of articles inside.

There were no injuries reported among the family members who were evacuated by authorities and accommodated at a local hotel.

Natividad informed the Home Office that she is dispatching Vice Consul Flaureen Dacanay and Welfare Officer Jocelyn Hapal to Bologna to assist the affected families.
