111 OFWs given Saudi amnesty back in PH

SOME 111 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia returned home yesterday.

The OFWs, who were granted amnesty by the KSA government, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on a Philippine Airlines flight from  Jeddah.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representatives met the repatriated OFWs, who were assured of livelihood assistance under the government’s comprehensive assistance program.

Thousands of undocumented and overstaying OFWs who were granted amnesty are awaiting the release of their exit visas so they can return to the Philippines soon.
