More cops get medals for ASEAN Summit security success

PHILIPPINE National Police Officer-in-Charge Deputy Director General Ramon C. Apolinario yesterday
pinned medals on 40 police officers and men involved in the government’s effort to keep the 2017 ASEAN
Summit and Other Meetings “trouble-free” last month.

Given the Medalya ng Katapatan sa Paglilingkod were ASEAN Security Task Force commander
Director Napoleon C. Taas; Director Camilo Pancratius P. Cascolan of the PNP Directorate for
Operations; Director Ramon O. Purugganan of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership; Director Jose Ma.
Victor DF Ramos of the PNP Directorate for Logistics; Chief Superintendent Noel A. Baraceros of the
Center for Police Strategy Management;
Chief Supt. Nestor M. Bergonia of the ASTF; Chief Supt. Joel Crisostomo DL Garcia of the
Police Security and Protection Group; Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus of the Police Regional Office 3,
ASTF official, Chief Supt. William Macavinta; Chief Supt. Ma-o R. Aplasca of the Police Regional
Office 4-A; Chief Supt. Alfred S. Corpus, the PNP Deputy Director for Personnel and Records
Management; Chief Supt. Marcelo S. Morales of the PNP Maritime Group; Chief Supt. Elmer C. Bantog of
the PNP Special Action Force; and Chief Supt. Israel Ephraim T. Dickson, the PRO4-A Deputy Regional
Director for Administration.

Apolinario also pinned the PNP Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod to Senior Supts. Raul L.
Bargamento,  Joey B. Runes and Benigno L. Guzman; and the PNP Medalya ng Kagalingan to Supts. Felipe
B. Maraggun, Ruby Grace S. Diangson, Ronald G. Hipolito, Ferdinand DC Villanuea, Randy M. Patiño and
Anthony C. Gantang.
Given the PNP Medalya ng Kasanayan were Supt. Margielyn J. Lozada, Chief Inspector Florence
Gale C. Billaoac, Senior Inspector Marciana DC Maramag, Police Officers 3 Jon Jason G. Andanar,
Michael D. Abayan, Jeremy D. Diña and Jay-R. T. Nicolas, PO2s Maria Violeta D. Barrientos and
Christopher G. Daracan; and Non-Uniformed Personnel Charmain Mae U. Bio, Jenifer R. Pulanco, Katrina
C. Mabingnay, Glo Hilly S. Omambac, Bianca Celest T. Benitez, Rowena D. Bernardino and Divina F.
A plaque of appreciation was also presented to Archimedes Siguan during yesterday’s rites at
Camp Crame.
The awardees got the medals for “utmost dedication and devotion to duty” during the 30th and
31st ASEAN Summit which earned them praises from world leaders led by United States President Donald
Trump and other Asian counterparts of President Rodrigo Duterte.
