FOR refusing to hand over a measly P20, a tricycle driver was killed by a man in Tondo, Manila, the other night.

Victim Rowell Luna, 34, of 883 Area-A, Gate 3, Parola, Tondo, Manila, died instantly due to multiple stab wounds in the different parts of the body.
PO3 Joel Jasareno of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section identified the suspect as Diosdado Alvero, 53, of 615 Gate 3 Parola, Tondo, Manila. He escaped after the incident.
It was learned that at around 9:30 p.m., the victim was waiting for passengers at the MICP Road in front of Gate 3 in Parola when the suspect arrived and asked  P20 from the victim.
Instead of giving him the money, the suspect was hugged by the victim while he laughed.
The suspect was insulted so he went home. Unknown to the victim, the suspect merely took a knife and then stabbed the victim repeatedly. He escaped only when he saw other tricycle drivers coming to his rescue. The suspect left behind the 12-inch knife he used in the killing.
