Traffic rerouting at Manila North Cemetery set today

A traffic re-routing was implemented at the Manila North Cemetery beginning 10 p.m. yesterday in observance of the Undas.

The Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit issued an advisory enumerating the affected roads as folows: Aurora Boulevard from Dimasalang to Rizal Avenue; Dimasalang from Makiling to Blumentritt, P. Guevarra from Cavite to Pampanga, Retiro from Dimasalang to Blumentritt Extension and Leonor Rivera from Cavite to Aurora Boulevard.

Designated parking areas are Craig, Simon, Felix Huertas, Sulu, Oroquita and Metrica Streets.

A re-routing is also in effect for public utility jeepneys (PUJs). Those from Rizal Ave./Blumentritt may pass through Cavite, turn right to L. Rivera or Isagan, right to Antipolo to point of destination.

PUJs from Amoranto St. from Quezon City are to turn right to Calavite, right to Bonifacio to point of destination. Those from Dimasalang may turn right to Makilang, right to Maceda to destination point.

Parking is prohibited on both sides of Retiro, Laong-Laan and other roads and streets included in the re-routing and the vehicles of violators will be towed.

Vehicles at the La Loma and Chinese cemeteries will be re-routed where those from España must use AH Lacson, Tayuman, Blumentritt from Cavite to Aurora Blvd. as well as Rizal Avenue or Jose Abad Santos.

Vehicles from Quiapo, Sta. Cruz and Caloocan may use Jose Abad Santos or Rizal Ave. extension.

Parking is allowed on Oroqueta, F. Huertas, P. Guevarra, Bulacan, Tecson, Sulu, M.Hizon, Kalimbas and Natividad Sts. Parking is not allowed on both sides of Rizal Ave., JAS and Aurora Streets.
