A sidecar boy was killed while his elder brother was wounded after an irate neighbor who just had a
fight with his live-in partner vented his ire on them.
Ian Dela Roma, 21, died while receiving treatment while his brother Noel dela Roma, 25, a
construction worker, both of C2 Capulong St., Paco Bago, Tondo, remains under recovery.
A probe by SPO2 Lester Bautista of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said that the
incident took place at around 6:20 p.m. on C2, Capulong Bridge in Tondo, Manila.
Prior to it, suspect Bernard Morbid, 29, and the latter’s live-in partner Jasmine Montoya,
reportedly had a heated verbal exchange.
When the suspect got out of the house, he saw Noel and stabbed him for no reason. Noel was
able to parry the attack although he got wounded too and managed to flee on foot.
The angry suspect then turned his ire on Ian who was then seated nearby and whom he stabbed in
The suspect was arrested after residents in the area ganged up on him to prevent his escape. He
is now facing charges of murder and frustrated murder before the Manila Prosecutors’ Office.
