INTERIOR and Local Government OIC-Secretary Eduardo Año commended the leadership of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) for the establishment of a new anti-cybercrime team (ACT).
Año was the guest of honor and speaker in yesterday’s inauguration and oath-taking of the cybercrime volunteers held at the QCPD headquarters in Camp Tomas Karingal.
According to the DILG chief, the state-of-the-art facility will surely be instrumental in safeguarding the security of the QC constituents.
ACT is a brainchild of QC top cop Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, who was once director of the PNP Anti-cybercrime Group in Camp Crame.
Equipped with the best and latest digital forensic equipment and its personnel’s know-hows, cybercrime complaints will be much easier to handle.
In commending Eleazar for the ACT project, Año said the initiative is undoubtedly one of the best courses of action that must be emulated nationwide.
