AN alleged drug pusher was killed while nine drug personalities, including the wife of slain suspect, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Valenzuela City.

Valenzuela police chief Senior Supt. David Nicolas Poklay said joint elements of Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Police Community Precinct (PCP) 4 led by Chief Insp. Jowilouie Bilario and Insp. Rolando Cruz conducted a buy-bust operation at around 10:30 p.m. against couple Bonifacio, 66, and Alma Socorro, 56, in front of their house at Area 4, Dumpsite Pinalagad, Bgy. Malinta.

When PO2 Alvin Lirag, who posed as poseur-buyer, handed the P500 marked money to the couple in exchange for a pack of shabu, the cop gave the pre-arranged signal, prompting the officers led by SPO1 Roberto Santillan to accost the duo.

However, Bonifacio pulled out a caliber. 38 revolver and fired at the approaching policemen but the gun misfired. SPO1 Santillan and his men returned fire and hit Bonifacio in the body. He was rushed to Valenzuela Medical center but was declared dead on arrival,

Investigators on case SPO2 Cristobal Duque and SPO3 Israel Aguinaldo said operatives also arrested Enrico San Juan, 40, Leonora Sioco, 44, and Niño Bautista, 38, for possession of sachets of shabu they bought from the couple while a cal. .38 revolver and three plastic sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the slain suspect.

Earlier at around 6:15 p.m., elements of DEU arrested Rey Garduce, Ronel Villamanca, Renato Tero and Jamela Nunag in a buy-bust operation along Independence St., Bgy. Gen. T. De Leon.

When frisked, six plastic sachets of shabu and P600 buy-bust money were recovered by police from Garduce.

In Bgy. Mabolo, police arrested Sandel Belino at the corner of M.H. Del Pilar and Coloong II at around 1:30 a.m. yesterday when he handed a pack of shabu to a police poseur-buyer during a buy-bust operation.

A case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office.
