A suspected drug pusher, who was also engaged in gun-for-hire activities, was killed in a shootout with Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) anti-drug operatives.

QCPD director Chief Supt. Guillermo T. Eleazar identified the slain suspect as Norman Aquino, 33, of Quirino Highway, Bgy. Bagbag, Novaliches. The suspect was tagged in the killing of a taxi driver last February 2017 in Bgy. Sauyo.
Around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, operatives under Supt. April Mark Young conducted an operation against Aquino at Alley 1, corner Urcia Street.             An undercover operative was able to buy P1,000 worth of shabu but the suspect sensed police presence, pulled out a handgun and fired at the operatives, who retaliated, wounding the suspect, who was declared dead on arrival at Novaliches District Hospital.
Recovered at the scene were eight plastic sachets of undetermined quantities of shabu, two small blocks of suspected shabu, two uprooted marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, a Colt cal .45 pistol, three .45 cartridges, two fired bullets, and the buy-bust money.
