P1.2-M marijuana seized from 2 ex-studes

SOME P1.2 million worth of high grade marijuana were confiscated the other night by the police from two young men during a buy-bust operation at a parking lot in front of the Manila City Hall.

The two were identified as Mhar Vincent Ramos, 22, and Jeff Colorado, 20, both former Business Administration students and residents of Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Senior Insp. Rowell Robles stated in his report to Supt. Igmedio Bernaldez, commander of the Manila Police District-Station 5, said the operation was conducted at around 9:40 p.m. on Arroceros Street in Ermita.

Robles said the poseur-buyer bought P1,000 in marked money and once the deal was over, police seize 168 grams of high grade marijuana or ‘kush,’ with a street value of about P252,000 as well as 7.8 kilos of dried marijuana with a street value of P930,000 stacked in snack wrappers.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been filed against the two.
