THE overseas Filipino worker (OFW) on a wheelchair, whose video went viral when she was abandoned at the Riyadh airport from Kuwait where she worked, has arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 Monday afternoon.
OFW Karsoma Utobara was all alone when she flew in and was reportedly seen roaming the NAIA complex for over four hours with no definite destination and refusing to give details about her identity to anyone.
While alone at the arrival area, Utobara was noticed by airport transport liaison officer Suzette Nueva, who was then about to finish her tour of duty. She saw Utobara as a prospective customer.
However, Nueva said Utobara was incoherent and appeared to be mentally ill as she followed her around, even if she already directed her to take the airport shuttle service to NAIA 3 if she was going to the province.
When Nueva decided to feed her, Utobara was said to have noticeably changed and began talking about what happened to her, prompting Nueva to help her locate her relatives.
A couple of her relatives then picked her up at the airport by which time, Nueva had purchased an airline ticket for her, after learning that she was from Pagadian City, so she could rejoin her parents there.
Aboard Cebu Pacific flight 5J 773, Utobara was able to leave for Pagadian at 5 a.m. Wednesday.
