A quarrel between neighbors led to a stabbing and mauling that resulted in the wounding of two persons
yesterday in Valenzuela City.

Enrique de Olazo, 47, of 436 F. Dela Cruz St., Dulong Tangke, Malinta, sustained multiple stab
wounds in the body and was rushed to Allied Care Medical Center where he was placed under observation
while Luisito Manansala, 65, of 414 F. Dela Cruz St., suffered injuries in the head after being hit
with a plastic chair.
Valenzuela police homicide investigators SPO4 Ronald Bautista and SPO3 Rey Bragado said that
earlier, Manansala, Baltazar Tabaranza Jr., and Jomar Pelante were having a drinking session along F.
Dela Cruz Street when Olazo, together with two unidentified companion, approached them at around 1:30
a.m. and punched Tabaranza Jr. on his leg.
Manansala and Pelante tried to intervene but they too were mauled by the suspects while Olazo
hit the former in the head with a plastic chair.
The incident was witnessed by Manansala’s son Marvin, 32, who came to his father’s aid and
while armed with bladed weapon repeatedly stabbed Olazo in the body. He was later arrested by
policemen in a follow-up operation.
