Most wanted collared in Taguig

POLICE arrested the topmost wanted personality in Taguig City Monday afternoon, a report from Southern
Police District (SPD) said.

The suspect, Laxer Osmeña, alias Laxer, 26, of 240 ML. Quezon St., Bgy. Hagonoy, Taguig, was
arrested by joint elements of SPD’s Intelligence Unit and Taguig police’s Intelligence and Warrant
Sections inside his house at 4:45 p.m. by virtue of warrants for homicide, violation of the Republic
Act 10591, two counts of violation of the Omnibus Election Code and attempted murder.
Chief Insp. Jerry Amindalan, SPD intelligence unit director, said the joint operation was
conducted after they received a tip from informant on the presence of Osmeña in his neighborhood after
months of hiding from law.
Amindalan said Osmeña has outstanding warrants for homicide (CC117-TG) for the killing of a
man in 2016.
Osmeña also has standing warrants for violation of Sec. 1(a) of the Omnibus Election Code (CC
119-TG) and violation of Sec 1(f) of the Omnibus Election Code (CC 120-TG) issued by Judge Paz
Esperanze Cortes, of Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 271 dated June 15, 2017.
Aside from this, he also has a warrant for attempted murder (CC 1261) issued by Judge Mariam
Bein, of Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 dated Sept. 22, 2017.
