October 30, 2018

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the suspension of Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the number coding scheme starting today, Wednesday, until Monday, November 5.

MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said the suspension of number coding scheme for today and on Monday, November 5 does not apply in the cities of Makati and Las Piñas but automatically suspended on November 1 and 2 and on Saturday and Sunday.

The early suspension of UVVRP was implemented to give consideration to those who will travel early in the province using their private vehicles to visit their departed loved ones during All Saints Day.

Earlier, the MMDA suspended the UVVRP only for provincial buses to ensure that there will be sufficient buses to ferry passengers to the provinces for All Saints Day.
