A 22-year-old motorcycle-rider and his live-in partner died after being ambushed by riding-in-tandem
criminals before noon yesterday in Caloocan City.

Elmer Escote, of Phase 4, Package 5, Block 1, Lot 2, Bgy. 176, Bagong Silang, and his live-in
partner Corazon Rubang Torres, 27, of 292 Bamban, Bocaue, Bulacan died on the spot.

The victims were cruising along Susaro Road, Bgy. 17, Camarin, when they were peppered with
bullets by two armed men at around 11:30 p.m.

When the victims fell bloodied on the pavement, one of the suspects allegedly pumped more
bullets on them. The suspects then sped away.

Elements of Caloocan Police Community Precinct (PCP) 5 conducted a follow-up operation but
failed to arrest and identify the assailants.

Police are looking at personal grudge and love triangle as the possible motive behind the
killing.
