A 51-year-old man was stabbed dead after his group figured in a heated argument with another group, as they all engaged in a drinking spree in a bar in San Andres Bukid, Manila the other day.

SPO3 Milbert Balinggan of the Manila Police District-homicide section identified the victim as Raymond  Ferrer, of 2520 Zafiro St., San Andres Bukid, Manila.

The suspects who surrendered to Barangay Chairman Marnie Bunluag were Rene Tolin, 29, and his brother Anthony, 27; Emy Buday, 25, and Jesencio Roxas, 26.

Before the victim was found dead at around  4:30 a.m. by car mechanic Rogelio Incolesia, it was learned that the two groups nearly had fisticuffs while inside the Jef-jef  Restaurant and Bar in San Andres Bukid, Manila but were pacified by the staff of the said bar.

Reportedly, the fight began after the girlfriend of the victim’s friend had an altercation with the suspect’s group for still unclear reason.

The commotion was said to have ensued outside the bar when the suspects chased down the victim and his friends.
Ferrer got cornered and was hit in the head with a dustpan, allegedly by Tobin, while Buday and Roxas allegedly kicked and punched him. Rene was said to have then stabbed him twice in the stomach, after which all the suspects fled altogether.
