A jobless young man was mauled and repeatedly stabbed to death by a group of unidentified men Thursday night in Navotas City.
Jhun Mark Juarez, 21, of Pier 2, Navotas Fish Port Complex, Bgy. North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN), sustained multiple stab wounds in the body and was declared dead on arrival at Navotas City Hospital by an attending physician.
Navotas police homicide investigator Allan Bangayan said the victim was talking to some of his friends along Chongkang St., Bgy. Tanza at around 10:30 p.m. when a group of unidentified men suddenly appeared and took turns in beating him.
Juarez was able to run towards Sampaguita Street but the suspects chased him until he was cornered along Amapola Street where he was again mauled and then stabbed repeatedly in the body.
The suspects then immediately escaped on foot, leaving the bloodied victim sprawled on the pavement.
Elements of Navotas Police Community Precinct (PCP) 1 conducted a follow-up operation for possible arrest of the suspects but to no avail. The motive behind the killing is yet to be determined.
