WHILE still holding the wake for his slain brother, a 43-year-old man was shot dead by still unidentified gunmen in Malate, Manila, the other night, with a stray bullet  hitting his grandmother.

Victor Isip, of 1284 Tuazon Street corner  Arellano Avenue,  Malate, died while undergoing treatment at the Ospital ng Maynila. His grandmother, Basilisa Tejedor, 61, of 1243 Arellano St., Malate, survived after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound in the body.
The suspect was identified only through his alias as ‘Ron-Ron.’  He is now being hunted down by the police.
Det. Jorlan Taluban of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the shooting took place at around 10 a.m. at the corner of Tuazon and Arellano Streets.
Prior to it, the suspect reportedly arrived at the wake of the victim’s brother.  Upon seeing the victim seated on a bench, the suspect shot him at close range without any provocation and then walked away casually after making sure that the victim had been fatally hit.
It was not immediately known what caused the death of the victim’s brother.
