Male teener fished out of Pasig River

A male teener was found dead and floating in Pasig River in Binondo, Manila.

SPO3 Jonathan Bautista of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the victim, who remains unidentified is about 15 to 17 years old, 5’4” tall, dark-skinned and was wearing a jogging pants with the word ‘supreme’ printed on it.

Police said the victim was found floating at around 10:30 a.m. the other day in front of the DPWH barge storage at the Parola Compound in Binondo, by one Larry Formador, said to be a chief mate of the cargo vessel Princess Christine.

The said cargo vessel was docked in the area when Formador saw the body and alerted the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Delpan Station, whose personnel helped fish out the body and then reported it to the police.

An investigation is underway to establish the identity of the victim and how he ended up in the river.
