A 19-year-old construction worker was nabbed by the police after stabbing a neighbor with whom he
allegedly has a running feud, as the two crossed paths on Lorenzo Street in Sta. Mesa, Manila the
other night.

Suspect Ritchie Aquino, of Sta. Monica Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila, was arrested by members of
the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) during a follow-up operation launched against him.
Prior to his arrest, the suspect, for still unclear reason, was said to have beaten up victim
Rizal Madalang, of Catleya Street also in Sta. Mesa, Monday night.
The following night, the two reportedly crossed paths at the corner of  Sto. Niño and Cadena
De Amor Streets at around 10:30 p.m., during which the victim kicked the suspect.
The suspect took out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the body. He then fled on foot
while the victim was rushed to the hospital where he remains confined.
Now detained at the Manila Police District-Station 8, the suspect is now facing charges of
frustrated homicide before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
