September 16, 2018

AN unidentified body of a  girl  was found floating along the Pasig City river at the height of Typhoon “Ompong” yesterday morning.

In a report submitted to Eastern Police District Director Senior Supt. Bernabe Balba Pasig Police chief Senior Supt. Rizalito Gapas, described the  victim described between  12 to 13 year  old, slim built and wearing white t-shirt and maong shorts.

Gapas said, the girl was found floating near Javier Bridge, Bgy. West Bank Floodway, Bgy. Maybunga, Pasig City at around 8 am.

Prior to the discovery,  members of the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office led by Sergio Serrano Jr., were on board their fireboat and monitoring the area when they saw a body floating in the river.

Serrano checked and was surprised when he saw a girl floating.

The body was immediately fished out from the water by the rescue teams.

Police, theorized that the girl was more than several hours dead because of the stiffness of her body.

Police added the victim was not residing in the area as no one identifies her.

Gapas called on parents or anyone who has a missing  daughter to contact the Pasig Police Station.
