Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) collared a suspected gang leader wanted for the killing of a man in Manila in 2005.

NBI Deputy Director Vicente de Guzman III identified the arrested suspect as Chritopher “Topeng” Mariano, tagged as leader of the “True Brown Style (TBS) Gang”.

Mariano was arrested in Tondo, Manila, by operatives of the NBI’s Environmental Crime Division (NBI-EnCD) based on the arrest warrant issued by Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 34.

De Guzman said Mariano was arrested for the killing of Noel Villagracia who was shot multiple times and his throat slashed by the suspect and his group on Nov. 17, 2005.

Since the incident, Mariano went into hiding and eluded arrest.
