A drug den maintainer and former surrenderee under police “Oplan Tokhang” and three others, including 18-year-old student, were nabbed by elements of Mandaluyong police following an operation Sunday morning.
The suspected drug pusher was identified as Noli Plata, 42, of Block 39, Bgy. Addition Hills, according to a report submitted to Mandaluyong police chief, Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran Jr.
Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) chief Senior Insp. Cesar Zamora said Plata was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Addition Hills at 4:30 a.m.
Zamora said that before the operation, a police poseur-buyer was able to buy sachet of suspected shabu from Plata.
The poseur-buyer asked Plata to use the drug inside his house where he caught three men having a shabu session.
The three suspected users were identified as Romeo Abelgas, 30, Mark Joseph Diaz, 18, and Ricardo Barrion Jr., 34, of Block 39, Bgy. Addition Hills.
Recovered at the suspect’s house were suspected plastic sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalias.
The arrest came after a policeman received an information that Plata was a former surrenderer of Mandaluyong police’s Oplan Tokhang but continues his illegal drug activities.
Zamora said the house of Plata is used as drug den.
Police added that the 18-year-old suspect and Barrion are included on the drug watchlist categorized as users/pushers.
Charges of violation of RA 9165 were filed against the suspects before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office.
