VOWING to return and haunt those who have crossed him, a 53-year-old man took his life by hanging in Ermita, Manila, yesterday morning.
Insp. Glenzor Vallejo, of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section identified the victim as Bien Navarro Carbos, of 1148 J. Bocobo St., Ermita, Manila.
Investigation showed that his lifeless body was discovered at around 8:30 a.m. by his children Briggs, Bryan and Grace. He was hanging by the neck from the ceiling of his bedroom.
The siblings sought help and when operatives from the Pedro Gil Police Community Precinct arrived, the victim still hung. His neck bore marks and slash wounds were also found in his wrists.
Before he was found dead, police said the victim slashed his wrists and used his blood to write his suicide note for his wife, a barangay tanod who left him recently.
The message, which the victim wrote with blood on the wall of their home, reportedly read: ‘Umalis ka p…na Brigett.. magkita tayo sa impyerno, magnanakaw..hayop ka.’
Briggs, meanwhile, told probers that the victim had been telling them he would kill himself but that he ignored him, thinking that he did not mean it.
