Couple buried alive in landslide

HEAVY rains brought by Typhoon Urduja triggered a landslide that buried a couple alive Saturday night in San Fernando, Romblon.

The victims were identified as Matilde Romero, 60, and her husband Masolinie Romero, 60, both residents of Bgy. Mabini, San Fernando, Romblon.

Reports reaching Camp Crame said the incident occured at around 11 p.m.

Tthe victims were sleeping in their house when the landslide occurred.

Barangay Captain Jessie Roda reported yesterday that his barangay was heavily hit by landslide.

Authorities are now assessing the damage in the area hit by landslide.
