Caloocan muffler shop worker stabbed dead

A 33-YEAR-OLD laborer was killed when he was stabbed repeatedly in the body by a still unidentified suspect Friday evening in Caloocan City.

Jonathan Bautista, native of Pangasinan and stay-in worker of DVE Muffler shop located  between 8th and 9th Street, 10th Avenue, Bgy. 93 died on the spot from multiple stab wounds in the body. The lone assailant escaped onboard a motorcycle.

Caloocan police deputy chief for administration Chief Insp. Ilustre Mendoza said the victim and his co-worker Richard Sabangan decided to have a drinking session after long hours of work inside the muffler shop at around 8:55 p.m., prompting the latter to stroll along 8th  Street to look for a wine store.

When Sabangan failed to find a wine store, he decided to return to the muffler shop but was surprised to see the victim bloodied and sprawled on the pavement.

Ocular examination conducted by responding elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) showed that the victim sustained several stab wounds in the body that resulted in his instantaneous death.    
The motive behind the killing has yet to be established.
