Bautista gives 150 MCs to QCPD

a bid to improve the crime fighting and prevention capabilities of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Mayor Herbert Bautista has assured that the city government will continue to support the police force.

Bautista made the assurance during the turn-over of the  150 patrol motorcycles and 485 bullet proof vests to the QCPD the other day in Camp Tomas Karingal.

The mayor disclosed that the city’s support shall cover the   procurement of additional patrol vehicles and firearms, rehabilitation of all existing police stations and construction of three additional police stations to ensure police presence in every corner of the city.

“Siguro kung may space tayo na bibilhin, iyong kabilang side ay gagamitin na lang natin as a holding area para sa mga nahuhuli ng pulis on the spot,” Bautista said.

In addition,  the mayor said the city government will also acquire a custom-made bus that will be converted into an incident command and communication center.  
“Kapag may hostage-taking at mga bank robbery incidents, magagamit natin itong command center,” the mayor said.   
Bautista also announced the operationalization of the QCPD Cyber Crime Office in November which will be supported by the installation of 250 additional closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras.    
During the occasion, he assured that the city government shall remain committed to the development of each QCPD personnel and in the development of the equipage and logistical requirements of the city’s police force.
