NINE drug suspects, including two women, were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations by operatives of Station Dangerous Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Makati City police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) almost at the same time while 30 individuals were invited at the police headquarters following the said police operations, yesterday in Bgy. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City.
Insp. Jeson Vigilla, SDEU chief, identified the suspects as Michael Aspero, alias Balong, 19, Jayson Recondala, 24, Polito Lilog, 40, Janet Amor, 41, Reyan Navarro, 34, Jun Lopo, 54, all of Bernardino St., Laperal Compound, Bgy. Guadalupe Viejo.
Vigilla said the suspects were arrested at 10 a.m. after they swooped and conducted a buy-bust operation at the suspects residence following confirmed reports on their drug peddling activities.
He added that police immediately pounced on Aspero when a police poseur-buyer was able to buy shabu worth P500 from him while the rest who were also inside the house were arrested.
Police recovered five sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and the P500 marked money.
Vigilla also said that some 30 individuals were invited at the police headquarters for verification following the police operation.
Meanwhile, PDEA operatives arrested Arvin Padilla, Maria Mapa and one alias Tonjing at their houses.
PDEA NCR Regional Director Wilkins Villanueva said the three suspects are members of the Laperal Drug Group that supplies shabu in the city.
He added that PDEA operatives are now hot on the trail of the suspects’ cohort identified as alias “Renren”.
PDEA reports said the operatives raided the suspects’ houses by virtue of search warrant at 10 p.m.
PDEA agents said they recovered an undetermined number of sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia inside the said houses.
The arrested suspects were all charged with violation of RA 9165.
