7 pushers, users fall in Pasig

SEVEN alleged drug pushers and users were arrested by Pasig police during a series of anti-drug
operations in the city yesterday.

In a report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula by
Pasig police chief Senior Supt. Orlando Yebra Jr., police conducted a week-long surveillance operations
on information that the suspects were rampantly selling illegal drugs with others having illegal drug
session.
    
A Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) team arrested Meronillo Torres, 39, of Bgy. San Miguel; and
Marcelita Missoin, 34, of Bgy. Caniogan, at 1:30 a.m.
    
Four other suspects, identified as Benjie Villarian, 36, Sharon Sarabia, 36, Rene Peligro, 30,
and Melanie Peligro, 37, were caught at a shabu session in an abandoned shanty on Louis St., Bgy. San
Miguel at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
    
At 9 p.m., a District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) team nabbed Jeffrey Fernandez, 25, tricycle
driver, of Villa Puzon, Bgy. Bambang.
    
Charges of violation of RA 9165 were filed against the suspects.
