5 collared for 9 sachets of shabu

A total of nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu were seized from five suspected drug personalities in separate buy-bust operation before dawn yesterday and Thursday night in Navotas City.

Navotas police chief Senior Supt. Ramchrisen Haveria Jr. said elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted buy-bust operation at around 2:55 a.m. yesterday against Rolando Ereno, alias “Bulan”, of 131 M. Domingo St., Bgy. Tangos, and Alejandro Javier, 29, alias “Avatar”, in front of the latter’s house at Blk. 34, Lot 16, Habitat Pabahay, Bgy. Tanza II.

PO1 Agustin, who acted as poseur-buyer, was able to purchase a pack of shabu worth P300 from Ereno, prompting arresting officers led by PO2 Jameson Cabidog to place them under arrest.

Police recovered from Ereno the P300 marked money while Javier yielded three plastic sachets of shabu when frisked by authorities.

Earlier at around 6:05 p.m., SDEU operatives led by Senior Insp. Mark Flores arrested Angelito Alcantara, 40, of 112 Dr. C. Bauza, Bgy. BBS, John Patrick Estrada, 21, of 37 P. Cadorniga, Bgy. BEN, and Melchor Negapatan, 22, of Market 3, Bgy. NBBN, during a buy-bust operation in Bagumbayan South.

A total of five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu was recovered by police from the suspects which will be turned over to the Northern Police District (NPD) Crime Laboratory for examination.

Senior Supt. Haveria said the arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Section 5 and 11 Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the Navotas City Prosecutor’s Office.
