FOUR snatchers were arrested by patrolling Manila policemen who responded to calls for help by a
female Japanese national, whom they have just victimized in Intramuros, Manila, the other day.

Now facing robbery-snatching charges before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office are suspects
Luciano Lopez, 49, of 2 Narra St., Aniban 1, Zapote, Bacoor City; Gina Pusing, 47, of 19 San Juan St.,
Moonwalk, Parañaque City; Rosalie Sison, 39, of 1 Proj. 8, Bahay Toro, Quezon City, and Elma Matas,
38, a massage therapist, of Bgy. Punta, San Narciso, Quezon.
Victim  Naoko Saito, 40, of Hostel Boutique on Valdes St., Makati City, told SPO1 Mark Xyrus
Santos of the MPD-Station 5 that the snatching took place at around 1 p.m. at the corner of
Muralla and General Luna Streets in Intramuros, Manila.
The victim said she was walking in the area when the suspects snatched her backpack containing
among others, her expensive cellphone, $200, credit card, make-up kit and electronic
dictionary.   Fortunately for her, policemen from the Intramuros  Police
Community Precinct were then patrolling the area so she sought their help, resulting in the arrest of
the suspects.
