3 shanty occupants murdered in QC

TWO men and a woman were shot dead inside a shanty in Bgy. Old Balara in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Killed on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in the body were Robert Mago, 22, of 38 Laura St., Bgy. Old Balara; one alias Anabel and another alias Roy, both 30 to 35 years old.

A report gathered from the QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the incident happened at around 5:15 a.m. inside a shanty at Tanduay Compound, Commonwealth Avenue near corner Laura St., Bgy. Old Balara.
A resident of the barangay, identified as Fred Tabigne, told police that he was inside his residence when he heard successive gunshots nearby.
He went outside to verify and discovered the lifeless bodies of the three victims slumped bloodied inside a shanty.
He immediately reported the incident to the police.
Meanwhile, police investigators are still determining if there was a connection with another shooting incident that occured in Laura Street in Bgy. Old Balara.
The shooting incident happened at around 6:45 a.m., more than an hour earlier from the previous shooting incident also in the same place.
In the second incident, Leonel Ernesto Ramos, 39, and his wife Estrella Beth Ernesto, 39, were allegedly shot by Armando Tahil, a former barangay watchman and a cousin of Leonel.
It was learned that the couple was inside their house when the suspect knocked on the door.
Leonel opened the door but he was shot dead by the suspect. His wife was critically wounded in the head.
The suspect immediately fled after the incident.
