THREE drug personalities, including two female drug pushers who happened to be sisters, were arrested in a buy-bust operation inside a suspected drug den Wednesday night in Valenzuela City.
Elements of Valenzuela Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) seized a total of six transparent plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu from siblings Jocelyn Fernandez, 37, and Jerlene Fernandez, 31, after they sold one plastic sachet of shabu to an undercover cop at around 6:32 p.m. inside an unnumbered house on Sebastian St., Esteban Kanan, Bgy. Dalandanan, Valenzuela City.
Police also arrested Abelardo Andres, 42, garbage collector, after he was caught in the act of sniffing shabu inside the suspected drug den.
When frisked, police recovered from Andres a plastic sachet of shabu, three unsealed plastic sachets with traces of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.
Valenzuela police chief Senior Supt. David Nicolas Poklay said operatives of SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation after they received a tip from their informant regarding rampant selling of illegal drugs at a suspected drug den in Bgy. Dalandanan being occupied by the arrested suspects.
Fernandez sisters will be charged for violations of Section 5 or selling of illegal drugs, Section 11 or possession of dangerous drugs and Section 6 or maintenance of drug den while Andres will be charged for violation of Section 11 and Section 15 or use of dangerous drugs under Article II, RA 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office.
