21 drug suspects arrested by QCPD

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. reported to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar the arrest of 21 drug suspects by different police stations in their relentless anti-criminality and anti-illegal drug operations for the past 24 hours in Quezon City.

Masambong Police Station (PS-2) police under OIC Chief Insp. Bernardo Pascua arrested David Boquirin, 34, Andrew Gabriel, 22, and Argel Joseph Almonte, 31, all of Bgy. Damayan, SFDM, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. A concerned citizen tipped off the police operatives, who caught the suspects sniffing shabu. Seized from the suspects were three sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Talipapa Police Station (PS-3) personnel under Supt. Alex Alberto arrested Romeo Luna, 33, of Victoria St., Sauyo Rd., Novaliches, and Erwin Lozado, 30, of Bgy. Tandang Sora, at 10:00 p.m. at Upper Banlat, Bgy. Tandang Sora. Three sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects.

Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives of Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) personnel under Supt. Carlito Grijaldo arrested Arlene Meneses, 41, and Nelson Santos, 41, both of Bgy. Gulod, at 8:30 p.m., at 26 San Ignacio St., Bgy. Gulod. Confiscated from the suspects were nine sachets of shabu (3 grams) with estimated street value of P15,000, and the buy-bust money.

The same PS-4 operatives arrested Enrico Davantes, 21, of Bgy. Tandang Sora, at 11:30 p.m. on Maria Cristina St. near corner Agus St., Bgy. Sauyo, Novaliches. Confiscated were a zip lock of undetermined quantity of dried marijuana leaves, three sachets of dried marijuana leaves, and the buy-bust money.

Also, at 2:30 p.m., PS-4 operatives arrested Julius Datu, 41, Edward Andam, 26, both of Bgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Anthony Lapid, 34, and Chedie Crispina, 30, both of Valenzuela City. A concerned citizen tipped off the police regarding their on-going shabu session at 28 Geronimo St., Bgy. Sta. Monica. Police caught the suspects in the act of sniffing shabu. Confiscated were two empty sachets with traces of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives of Batasan Police Station (PS-6) under Supt. Joel Villanueva arrested Michael Nakpil, 39, Reynaldo Codilla, 49, Cindy Amida, 28, and Maricris Nakpil, 37, all of Bgy. Payatas, at 11:30 p.m., on Rosal Ext., Bgy. Payatas. Seized were seven sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

Anti-drug operatives of Cubao Police Station (PS-7) under Supt. Giovanni Hycenth Caliao arrested Luisa Peralta, 59, Aquarius Herrea, 41, and Eduardo Dela Peña, 33, all of Bgy. San Roque, Cubao, at 1:50 a.m. yesterday, inside Peralta’s house at 61 20th Ave., Bgy. San Roque, Cubao. Seized from the suspects were eight sachets of shabu, an empty sachet of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

Galas Police Station (PS-11) under Supt. Tomas Nuñez arrested Fernando Viado, 46, and Antonio Aruta, 35, both of Bgy. Tatalon, at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police responded to a tip from a concerned citizen and caught the suspects in a shabu session at 54 Kaliraya St., Bgy. Tatalon. Confiscated were two sachets of shabu, one empty sachet with traces of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
