20 most wanted nabbed in Abra, Pangasinan, Cavite

Twenty wanted persons were arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in a series of manhunt operations in the countryside last Wednesday, PNP-CIDG chief Director Roel B. Obusan said yesterday.
One of the suspects, identified as Lorenzo Barber, alias ‘Jojo,’ was arrested for five counts of rape by sexual assault in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Members of the CIDG Region 1 last Wednesday morning tracked down Barber, a suspected member of a gunrunning syndicate operating in Northern Luzon, in his hiding place in Bangued, Abra. The suspect is now being held at the Abra Provincial Jail.
Eleven others identified as Fernando Solomon, Carlito Caranto, Enrique and Marvin Doldol, Judith Calugay, Ben Soriano, Jerome Tan, Rolando Soriano, Loreto Dizon, Gerry Caranto, Ludovico Quitaleg and Delia Soriano were arrested by CIDG Region 1 in Riverside, Poblacion, Urbiztondo, Pangasinan on the strength of two warrants for violation of RA 9287 or illegal numbers’ game.
Meanwhile, in Cavite, at least seven persons with criminal cases ranging from child abuse and exploitation, carnapping, homicide, violation of children and women’s law to attempted murder were arrested by policemen last Wednesday.
In Dasmariñas City, Jayson Baclayo, of Bgy. San Nicolas 1, was arrested for child abuse and exploitation at 9 a.m. An P80,000 bail was recommended by the court.
In Tagaytay City, Santi P. Ferrer was arrested at 12 p.m. in Bgy. Kaybagal South, for violation of RA 6539 or the Anti-Carnapping law. In Bgy. Mendez Crossing, nabbed was Ria Mae Manguiat for estafa.
In Tanza town, Lin Hua Jie, alias Kevin, was arrested for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide at 3 p.m. in Bgy. Sanja Mayor.
Also nabbed in Tanza town was Renato Sobremonte, of Bgy. Daang Amaya 1, for attempted murder.
In Imus City, Orland Ordoña, of Bgy. Bucandala 2, was arrested for violation of the law against women and children. In Bgy. Bayan Luma 6, nabbed for the same offense was Jonathan de Jesus.
