October 08, 2018

POLICE arrested two British nationals, including a famous blogger, after they created trouble while under the influence of liquor inside a hotel before dawn yesterday in Makati City.

Makati police chief Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon said businessman Christian Lopez Busy, 27, of Salcedo Square Condominium, LP Leviste St., Salcedo Village, Bgy. Bel-Air, and famous blogger Daniel Marsh, 21, property developer and TV-5 talent, of Yaga St., Bgy. Singkamas, were charged with alarm and scandal, malicious mischief, physical injury and resisting arrest before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office following their arrest.

Police said the two created trouble inside JM Hotel in Bgy. Poblacion at 1:30 a.m., prompting hotel representatives to seek police assistance that resulted in their arrest.

However, while inside the Makati Police Community Precinct (PCP) 6, the two foreigners continued to create annoyance while shouting invectives against the policemen and accusing them of being corrupt, prompting the lawmen to lock them up inside the detention cell.

While inside the jail, Marsh allegedly inflicted self-injury when he banged his head on the wall while allegedly continuously shouting harsh words against the police.

Senior Supt. Simon said they already informed the British Embassy regarding the matter as part of standard operating procedure.
