2 pushers killed in Manila clash

October 14, 2018

TWO alleged drug pushers were killed in an armed encounter during a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila, early yesterday morning.

They were identified only through their aliases as Novo, 37, and Jury,  said to be members of the ‘Sputnik Gang’.

Acting on tipped information, Manila Police District-Station 2 drug enforcement operatives led by Senior Insp. Alfredo Tan conducted the operations at Gate 14 in Parola Compound at around 1:20 a.m.

Police Officer 2 Jaycee John Galutera reportedly became the poseur-buyer and after having bought shabu worth P300, the suspects sensed they were dealing with cops so they drew guns and fired, hitting Galutera who was fortunately wearing a bullet vest.

A shootout thus ensued between the suspects and the cops, resulting in the duo’s instant death.

Recovered from the suspects were 14 sachets of shabu and two caliber .38 revolvers.
