TWO men were killed after being run over by trailer trucks in separate incidents in Intramuros and
Tondo, Manila, the other night.
SPO2 Bert Feliciano Francisco of the Vehicle Traffic Investigation Section (VTIS) of the Manila
Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (MPD-CIDU), said the first incident took
place at 10:30 p.m. at the northbound lane of Roxas Boulevard near the head office of the Department of
Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Intramuros.
Witness Jonathan Yanga said he was driving his motorcycle in the area when he saw a man jump
into a moving Fuso tractor head (RNE-756) being driven by Jobin Indicio, 40, of Block 18, Lot 73,
Holiday Homes, General Trias City, Cavite.
Since it was raining, the victim reportedly slipped and fell and was run over by the rear tire,
causing his instant death. The driver was said to have not noticed as he went on driving.
Yanga followed the truck and sought help from the Delpan Police Community Precinct. Upon
learning of the incident, Indicio surrendered to the police.
Meanwhile, at 11 p.m., another trailer truck (UWK-614) being driven by Eugene Madrona was on
its way to the Pier when a man boarded it on Road 10 but lost his grip, causing him to fall and also get
run over and died.
Madrona also told police he did not know what happened until he saw people stopping him.
Both Indicio and Madrona were charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide while both
victims remain unknown.
