Reports said that the duo were nabbed by Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) headed by Senior Insp. Edwin Malaban in Bgy.West Crame at around 2:20 a.m. yesterday.

A police team was able to strike a deal with Santos and Fuentes and when they handed the shabu to an undercover policeman, they were immediately nabbed by other operatives positioned in the area.

Seized from the duo were three sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money used in the operation.

Both suspects are possibly drug peddlers posing as jeepney drivers in the area, according to SDEU chief.

Masauding warned drug peddlers in the city that police will continue to conduct their no let-up drive against proliferation of illegal drugs in the city.

The duo are facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They were detained at the San Juan police detention cell.
