TWO suspected robbers reportedly preying gasoline stations and other business establishments in Quezon City were killed in an encounter with policemen in front of a gasoline station in Bgy. Pinyahan yesterday morning.

Case investigator P03 Hermogenes Capili of the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said they have yet to  identity the slain suspects.
Investigation showed that the incident happened at around 12:23 a.m. in front of Unioil gasoline station on V. Luna Avenue, Bgy. Pinyahan.
Operatives of District Special Operation Unit received a telephone call from a concerned citizen that a robbery-holdup was ongoing on V. Luna Avenue.
They immediately proceeded to the place and spotted two men armed with handguns hurriedly fleeing from the gasoline station.
Police chased the suspects, who however, fired at the former, triggering a shootout and leaving the latter dead on the spot.
According to gasoline attendants Jayson Villalyz and Jerelyn Layugan, the two slain suspects were the same persons who held them up, carted away their cellphones and cash money amounting to P500.
The said items were recovered from the slain suspects.
