TWO jeepney drivers were shot and killed by two motorcycle-riding suspects due to an old grudge in Marikina City early morning yesterday.

Reports reaching Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula identified the victim as Candido Siarot, 55, jeepney/driver operator and Roberto Cadacio, alias Muslim, both residents of Cupang, Antipolo City.

The two victims were killed on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in the bodies.

One of the suspects identified only as alias Romy, is a former member of PASMAJODAI, an organization of jeepney operators and drivers in Marikina City.

Initial investigation showed the incident transpired along Waco  corner Panorama St., Bgy. Concepcion Dos Marikina City at around 12:34 a.m.

One Erlinda Ocampo,  27, daughter-in-law of victim Siarot, said that Cadacio and alias Romy earlier engaged in a heated argument regarding their work.
At the height of argument, the suspect was heard threatening Cadacio but they were pacified by other drivers.
After several hours, while the two victims were repairing their jeepney,  the two unidentified men arrived onboard their motorcycle which stopped few meters away. The back rider got off from the motorbike and approached the two.
Then the suspect pulled out a gun, repeatedly shot the two victims and fled towards an unknown direction.
Police recovered several pieces of empty shells from the crime scene.
