POLICE arrested two Chinese nationals who reportedly abducted and detained for 36 hours a Taiwanese businessman to force him into paying P.1-million debt which he lost to casino gambling Sunday morning in Pasay City.

Pasay City police chief Senior Supt. Noel Flores identified the arrested suspects as Liang Liang Fan, 29, and Chen He, 27, and presently billeted at Condo Unit 1232 D, Shell Residences, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Flores said the police were able to rescue Kuan Hung Chou, 31, of PB Com Tower, Makati City, at 8:30 a.m. inside the suspect’s condominium unit following a complaint of Fan Chun Lin, victim’s friend and business associate.

Pasay police Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMB) head Chief Insp. Wilfredo Sangel said the suspects abducted the victim last November 3 at 4 a.m. outside the City of Dreams in Parañaque City and detained him in their rented unit.

The suspects told police that the victim borrowed money from them in the amount of P100,000 but failed to settle the amount despite repeated demands.

The arrested suspects will be charged with slight illegal detention and physical injury before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
