Soap, perfume-making seminar set

The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program (GTSDP) will conduct a one-day seminar on soap making combined with perfume making to be held at the UPIS Bldg., A. Ma. Regidor St. cor. Quirino Ave., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon  City  on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m.  to 6 p.m.

In this  seminar, participants will get to learn how to make different kinds of soap,  body products and perfume together with  hands-on experience on how to make liquid dish washing soap, liquid hand soap, liquid all-purpose soap,  powder soap, dishwashing paste,  glycerin herbal (transparent bath soap) liquid bleach, fabric softener,  and liquid detergent soap.  Topics also include how to make household products such as tile and  bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, carpet shampoo, air freshener as well as car shampoo, tire black and also body products such as body scrub, body wash, bubble bath,  foot powder, hair shampoo, hand and body lotion,  hand sanitizer and dog shampoo as added bonus.  Also the seminar will highlight different types of perfume such as perfume spray, cologne spray, eau de toilette, cream type perfume and many more.

Aside from the technical aspect of how to make soap and many more  participants will also be taught on how to start a soap business, an invited expert resource speaker  will share her story on  how  she succeeded in the soap industry.   The other topics of the seminar will also include sourcing of materials, costing and marketing strategies.
