Heartthrob Sam Milby and dance floor princess Yassi Pressman are both certified PBB Housemates. Despite being mixed-blood celebrities, both stars endeared themselves to their Filipino fans. And now, facing a new chapter of their career, they are teaming-up for the first time in the romantic-comedy movie, “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel”.

SAM MILBY: The Charismatic Heartthrob

2018 must be Sam Milby’s lucky year, born in the year of the Rat (1984), with changes, opportunities,   hectic work and creativity in the works.  Thus it is no longer surprising that a new movie with Sam as leading man is set for release in Philippine cinemas this month, and a new television drama series is soon to be aired on ABS-CBN.
Singer-actor, commercial model, TV personality and recording artist are just among Sam Milby’s many credentials. Armed with his Fil-Am good looks and determination to succeed, twenty-one year-old Sam returned to his mother’s homeland to start a showbiz career and soon became the new face of a known toothpaste brand. His stint in Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 in 2006 opened a lot of acting and recording opportunities for Sam under ABS-CBN.

He often performed and later became a regular host of ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP. He appeared in various shows in ABS-CBN including teleseryes and series, such as Maging Sino Ka Man, Mara Clara, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, Your Song Presents: I’ve Fallen in Love, Breaking Up is Hard to Do, Ikaw Lamang, Someone to Love and Doble Kara, which made him as one of the top Celebrity Heartthrobs of ABS-CBN.

His meteoric rise to fame brought him lead roles in television series, movies, endorsements, concerts plus a recording career. His remarkable standing in the showbiz industry due to countless movie offers also marked Sam as the Newest Heartthrob of the Philippine Cinema.

With top-grossing movies tucked under his belt, recognition for Sam as a multi-awarded performer came in terms of numerous awards for his outstanding acting prowess
given by  award-giving bodies like PMPC Star Awards, 19th Aliw Awards, 36th GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards,  and 25th Awit Awards.

His successful forays in music has earned him the title as the Rockoustic Heartthrob. His concert tours took him across Asia, U.S.A., Canada and Europe. His music collaborations with Toni Gonzaga and the release of his four studio albums entitled A Little Too Perfect, Love Duets, Be Mine and Sam: 12 were all well received.    

In 2016, two of Sam’s movies were released; VIVA Films’ “Camp Sawi” and the movie titled “The Third Party,” produced by ABS-CBN Film Production, and was released under Star Cinema.

Sam also ventured into business for the first time, by putting up a Bright Bulb Productions with good friends Angelica Panganiban and John Prats 2017. Their initial project was a six-minute music video of Moira dela Torre and her hit song “Malaya”, directed by John Prats and with Angelica and Sam as the actors.

And not one to rest on his laurels, Sam Milby is ready and still determined to face the changes, and take advantage of the opportunities, be it in his career or personal life more than ever.

YASSI PRESSMAN: Her Time has Come

Tagged as the Dance Floor Dream Girl of Antipolo, Yasmin Isabel “Yassi” Yasto Pressman, is now on her way to success. And finally.

Pressman was born to a British father and a Filipino mother from Isabela, hence,her second name, Isabel, in a reference to her mother's home province. Pressman has one sister.

Born under the Taurus sign, Yassi belongs to people known by their sincerity, famed and noted for their determination and perseverance in every facets of their life. These characteristics have served Yassi well in her quest for stardom.

Yassi began her acting career when she was just five years-old, and bagged the role of   the young Luisa in the 2006 television comeback of Gulong ng Palad, an ABS-CBN series. The following year she transferred to GMA Network where she resumed her dancing career, and earned the title “Princess of the Dance Floor” for her efforts  in shows like SOP Fully Charged, Party Pilipinas, and later on Sayaw Pilipinas together with other GMA Network talents.

Yassi is also a VJ, dancer, model, singer and a TV Host. Among the awards she was given because of her exemplary talents are the Most Promising TV Actress of the Year in the 48th Box Office Entertainment Awards in 2016 and a string of awards for her dancing prowess. It is also worth mentioning that Yassi was almost always included in the list of the sexiest, the stylish and the most beautiful stars through the years.  

Until 2015, Yassi steadily worked her way up, building her portfolio with different television shows in the leading networks, with one or two movies in between.

When Pressman signed  a contract with Viva Entertainment in 2013, she was able to star in several movies including Diary ng Panget, Talk Back, and You're Dead, Wang Fam, to name a few in just a span of three years.

In the year 2016, her career started to boom with the hit drama-comedy movie, “Camp Sawi” together with Andi Eigenmann, Bella Padilla, Arci Muñoz, Kim Molina, Dennis Trillo, and Sam Milby for Viva Films. Two of her movies, “Girlfriend for Hire” and “Miracles are Forever” were also released.

In the same year, Yassi was in TV-5’s Born to be a Star as host, in  Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 as a Celebrity Housemate, and on top of those projects, she got the coveted part as the leading lady of Coco Martin, Alyana Arevalo-Dalisay, in the top-rating and long-running action-drama program, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

These turn of events in her career made her to be in demand as she snagged almost 20 products endorsements as the celebrity endorser. On top of these, her music album, “Isang Daang Habangbuhay” with its much awaited carrier-single was released in 2017 under Viva Records.

Finally, Yassi’s long awaited moment is finally here.  In her first leading lady role, Yassi teams up with heartthrob Sam Milby in Viva Films “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel,” in cinemas on March 14.

Before, Yassi Pressman was only a dreamer. But now, show business has finally shown her doors of opportunities leading her to that elusive dream of stardom.


“Ang Pambansang Third Wheel”

The movie is about a woman (Pressman) who finds herself in love with a man (Sam Milby) who already has a kid. This is the first time for Pressman and Milby to topbill a movie, although they both appeared in 2016’s “Camp Sawi” they had little to no scenes together. The movie is written and directed by Ivan Payawal, best known fo his independent feature “I Love America” that was shown at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival. Release date is on March 14, the movie also stars child actor Alonzo Muhlach and Sam Pinto.
