ALTA MODA: We’re Wrangler’s Crank; Basics With Gap Body; Dressing Up the Kids; Nail Art 101

We’re Wrangler’s Crank, Molly, Stokes and Ace

Denim brand Wrangler is moving forward in fashion with exciting new global directions for the brand, translated into local interpretations that are relevant to its specific wearers.

Wrangler Philippines Vice President for Marketing Marty Tio shares, “We are one of the three biggest and strongest denim brands in the world, with over 100 great years of denim heritage under our belt – and taking off from this amazing milestone, we are bringing the brand to new, exciting heights. In the Philippines, for instance, we are offering Filipinos a brand-new way to look at their denims.”

He’s talking about Wrangler Philippines’ latest campaign My Fit, My Edge, which features an array of personified jeans that allow you to stand out from the rest and find your unique edge. “The collection offers four fits that aim to match each denim persona to each Filipino character, highlighting the wearer’s distinct personality,” Tio explains.

The campaign inspiration stems from the idea of bringing out the extraordinary from the seemingly ordinary – in this case, jeans. “The classic and ever-practical denims have always had, and always will have, a special place in every person’s heart – and in every person’s closet,” Tio states. “And because they are such reliable wardrobe staples, they become familiar and comfortable pieces that people end up seeing only a certain way.”

Wrangler defies this long-held notion and introduces a different way of looking at denims. “Fit – meaning how your jeans physically complement your body frame – has always been the main issue when it comes to choosing your perfect pair,” Tio reveals. “But there’s another way of approaching the concept of fit, and this is something that our campaign wants to promote – how your jeans reflect your attitude and personality.”

Enter My Fit, My Edge’s four featured fits. Crank is for the rough and rugged; Molly is a nod to the stylish and sexy; Stokes plays up the classic and sophisticated look; and Ace dedicates itself to relaxed and laid-back. “With these four fits to choose from, it’s impossible for you to miss your perfect fit—and more than possible to find your unique edge,” he says.

Yes, through the years, denims have become a constant fashion companion. Its timeless appeal has continuously evolved to keep in stride with the latest in trends, and with the demands of the wearers. But with My Fit, My Edge, a collection that reflects that brand’s commitment to continuous product innovation and authentic craftsmanship, Wrangler simply rises above the rest.

“When you put on a pair of Wrangler jeans, you don’t just look physically good, you also embody a lifestyle centered on showing the world who you are and what you stand for.” Tio concludes.

Dressing Up the Kids in Classic Lipton

Every parent, especially Mom, wants her child to look cute – and in clothes that are really really comfortable. So, there is a variety of places – the malls, tiangges, even itinerant vendors – from where she could find cute child clothes. But, wherever baby garments are sold, there is one label that surely stands out among the many: Lipton.

Of course, Lipton is a classic – it’s been around for fifty years – that even moms and dads of today’s baby boomers would instantly recall as one, perhaps the only brand that has remained trustworthy for quality of design and craftsmanship. Not to mention the fact that it’s a 100% Filipino venture.

Today, Lipton is very much around and marketed nationwide. Its line of garments and accessories – pambahay o panlakad – for newborn babies up to 8 years old have the impressive Lipton distinction of durability – from swaddling diapers and onesies (with matching caps and bonnets, mittens and booties), printed tee shirts and comfortable panties and shorts and pajamas, very young ladies Sunday clothes and casual jeans and young men’s polo-and-slack sets – and comfortability as only the coolest cotton yarns are used in all its products.

Next time you’re out to shop for your kid(s) or godchildren, think of the classic – so think Lipton. It’s available in most prestigious department stores and baby fashion boutiques nationwide (SM Hypermarket, Citymart, Shopwise, NCC, Gaisano, Mart 1 San Pablo, Baguio Country Mall).

Nail Art 101

Summertime is over and rainy days are here. One of the things you can’t just do anymore anytime you want it is to go to your favorite salon and have your nails cleaned and polished. But you can still have gorgeous looking nails even when the rains are pouring. You can do your own manicure and pedicure right in the comfort of your own home.

A great idea to lift your mood during the wet days ahead: Nail Art.  For beginners, you can use a simple design such as a flower or a heart. You may try more intricate ones as you go along and have the confidence and skill to do more complex styles. You can even add embellishments such as jewels, colored stones and the like.

Bobbie Nail Care Cosmetics by Chic Center Corporation, an industry leader   since 1977, offers these do-it-yourself, step-by-step tips that you can follow to achieve those perfect-looking nails, rain or shine.

1.    Before actually painting your nails with the design of your  choice, make sure they are clean with the use of  the right tools and extensions. Opt for Bobbie Nail Care implements such as the fingernail clipper, toenail clipper, nipper, buffer, toe separator, nail polish remover, cuticle remover and cuticle oil, to name a few.

2.    Use  the cuticle tint for best results; followed by  tri-colored Bobbie Nail Care’s Buffer for healthier and shinier nails. The pink side smoothens nail ridges and irregularities; white is for the nail’s soft matte finish while the gray side results to healthier and glossy, shiny nails.

3.    You are now ready to do nail art in your own creative ways. You will need a paintbrush which you can buy from the art shop. When buying one, choose the thinnest artist’s brush for the best results.

4.    To apply nail polish, start with the Base Coat to protect nails from getting yellowish. Then, use your favorite shade of Bobbie Nail Crème. There are 76 colors to choose from. Take your pick from these hues -  Pure White, Vamp, Kohl, Piña Colada, Grass Skirt, Patent Blue and   Orange Juice to name a few.

5.    To make a flower design, gently take your brush and paint a small line, forming a petal. Repeat this latter procedure five times to make five petals.

6.    You may opt for more flowers or add hearts, depending on your mood and style.

7.    Seal your nail art with Bobbie Sheer or Top Coat Fast-Dry for longer-lasting nail polish.

You’ll find infinite joy in nail art. It not only makes your nails beautiful but it can  be an outlet for your creativity. The possibilities are endless, you are limited only by your imagination.Your nail art can be vibrant, glamorous and sophisticated, fun and funky or feminine and frilly.

Bobbie Nail Care products are safe to use because they are toxin-free. Bobbie Nail Polish formulation does not contain the toxic and carcinogenic substances (DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde) that may be harmful to your health.
